The SafeFAST Premium is a Class II A1/A2 microbiological safety cabinet, belonging to the latest generation of laminar flow systems manufactured by Faster. Designed to guarantee optimum protection for the operator, the product and the environment, it complies with European standards EN 12469:2000.

This model is ideal for biohazard applications in microbiology, virology, cell culture, genetics, etc. It is ideally suited to laboratories requiring a high-end finish, 316 stainless steel worktop, LED lamps, low noise level and low energy consumption.

Key features

Outstanding energy efficiency: Thanks to the use of DC motors, low-loss HEPA/ULPA H14 filters and low-energy LED lighting, SafeFAST Premium boasts low energy consumption, with an operating value of 84.4 W, in compliance with EN 12469:2000.

Low noise level : With an unrivalled noise level of 42.5 dB(A), this safety workstation is one of the quietest in the world, providing a comfortable working environment for the user.

Reduced CO₂ emissions : inspired by an environmental conscience, the SafeFAST Premium features some of the lowest CO₂ emissions, with an annual value of 163 kg, thanks to advanced technical solutions and the choice of environmentally-friendly materials.

Ergonomic design: the 7° inclined front window in laminated safety glass offers optimum visibility of the work area. The window is motorized and can be fully opened or closed at the touch of a button, providing easy access for cleaning and maintenance.

Easy maintenance: the AISI 316L stainless steel worktop features easily removable sections for easy cleaning and autoclave sterilization. What's more, the station is designed to pass through 800 mm door openings, with its depth reduced to around 790 mm after removal of the rear panel, making it easy to install.

Operating principle

Ambient air is drawn in through slots in the stainless steel base of the front opening, passes under the work surface and is then directed into the plenum of the recirculation and exhaust fans. The negative-pressure plenum's "bio-dynamic sealing" system ensures that all contaminated particles are confined within the system and captured by HEPA/ULPA H14 filters. 70% of the filtered air is recirculated in vertical laminar flow into the work chamber, while the remaining 30% is vented to atmosphere.
