Cytotoxic safety stations
Class II cytotoxic safety cabinets, such as Faster's CytoFAST Elite and CytoFAST Top models, are designed to provide optimal protection of personnel, products and the environment when handling cytotoxic drugs and hazardous biological agents.
Compliant with European standards EN 12469:2000 and DIN 12980:2005-06, these safety cabinets incorporate HEPA/ULPA H14 triple filtration technology. This configuration ensures that 100% of the air first passes through a main filter located under the work surface, then 70% of this air is recirculated through a second filter inside the cabinet, while the remaining 30% is exhausted through a third filter, thus ensuring efficient filtration and maximum safety.
These devices are particularly suitable for the preparation and handling of cytotoxic drugs, antineoplastic chemotherapies, CMR drugs (carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic), as well as any other agent likely to cause genetic alterations or interact with other substances. In addition, their compliance with the EN 12469 standard makes them versatile for various applications in microbiology, virology, hematology, cell culture and genetics.
Ergonomics have also been optimized with a 7° inclined front window, providing increased visibility and comfort for the operator. The filter replacement system under the work surface is designed to be safe and easy, in accordance with the requirements of DIN 12980:2005-06, thus minimizing risks during maintenance operations.
